The Gogebic County Road Commission is accepting applications for Seasonal Plow Truck Drivers for the 2026/2027 winter season at a competitive hourly rate. These jobs are for the winter months only and end in approximately March or April. The position can either be seasonal full time or as needed during snowfall events. These positions are currently located out of our Watersmeet, Marenisco or Bessemer garages depending on current vacancies.
These positions require that the employee be able to operate all types of snow and ice removal equipment that is required by the Gogebic County Road Commission and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Also, qualified applicants should be capable of using good and sound judgment in knowing what operations to perform. Applicants must possess a valid CDL with a minimum of a Group B designation. Applicants must be able to operate and maintain at least a tandem axle dump truck with a front one-way plow.

FULL-TIME ROAD FOREMAN
The Gogebic County Road Commission is seeking applications for a full-time Road Foreman to work out of the Bessemer Garage. Applicants must possess a valid CDL with a minimum of a Group A designation.
Applicants must be able to supervise work crews and perform daily work projects which include maintaining and repairing Gogebic County highways, roads, bridges and culverts.
